Apps and Tools

A tech radar — the tools, libraries, and services Big Nerd Idea evaluates and uses across its projects. This section tracks what is in active use, what is under evaluation, and what has been considered and set aside, so that technology choices stay deliberate and reviewable.

Technology selection here follows the Epistemic Honesty directive (claims about a tool's fit are hypotheses until validated) and BNI's sustainability and battery-conscious standards (carbon cost is a first-class evaluation axis).

In this section

• Tool Evaluation Tracker — the live table of tools currently under evaluation, maintained by the tool-eval skill. Each entry carries a lifecycle status (new → tried → evaluated → adopted/rejected), three privacy/trust axes (Private / Autonomous / Secure), an optional 0–10 score, and notes.
• Cloud Providers — a data-sovereignty matrix comparing hosting and inference providers BNI uses or considers.
• Dev Stack — frameworks and libraries in active use or under evaluation across BNI codebases.
• Tools & Services — platforms and services used across BNI operations and development.
• Document Tools — documentation generators and note/vault tooling, and the reasoning behind BNI's choices.
